On May 26, 2026, the “Carbon Neutrality” Academic Forum of the School of Energy and Environment, Southeast University, was held in Room Y512, Jizhong Building. Professor Sandro Nižetić from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Split, Croatia, delivered a lecture entitled “How to write and publish a high-impact research paper?” for the School of Energy and Environment.The lecture focused on the full process of developing a high-quality manuscript and bringing it to publication. Drawing on his research in thermodynamics, energy efficiency, building energy conservation, intelligent technologies and renewable energy, as well as his editorial experience, Professor Nižetić explained how to refine research questions, select suitable journals, understand evaluation indicators, choose manuscript types, use references properly, highlight originality, present results, build discussions and conclusions, respond to reviewers, and promote published work. He noted that a strong research paper should combine reliable data, a clear argument and a precise response to key concerns in the field.
The lecture offered practical guidance for improving academic writing and strengthening international scholarly communication within the School.
